Corrugated boxes St Louis are the shipping containers of choice for most products all over the world.

Corrugated boxes are commonly used to ship all types of products. They are very important in shipping. They are also very important in manufacturing and distribution channels all over the world. They are preferred because of certain properties they possess that make them easy to handle, strong, efficient and the fact they can be printed on the outside.

In the packaging industry, a lot of healthy competition is found between corrugated and plastic packaging. The one advantage that corrugated boxes have over other types of packaging material is the fact that they are recyclable and reusable. At home, they can be used to store items and can even be used to transport personal belongings when moving.

They are however mainly used as a secondary packaging choice. This is where they are used to transport already packaged products. The goods are then transported between distributors and retailers. You will most likely not find corrugated boxes in supermarket shelves.

The basic printing that is done on the outside of the boxes is usually to help identify the contents of the boxes and nothing else. However, there are various manufacturers that have embraced corrugated boxes as a primary packaging material. In this case, the boxes are clearly labeled and contain heavy printing that aims to attract the customers to buy the products.

There are special machines that are used to make the corrugated boxes. They laminate the paper boards into several layers as required. The boxes are usually made in different layers depending on the intended purpose. When transporting light products the single-layered boxes are preferred. The double and triple layers are used to carry the heavy and bulky products such as car parts.

The thickness of the corrugated box is determined by the size of the flutes that are used between the layers. The flutes come in different sizes but the most popular one is the flute size used in single layered boxes. The outside layer normally referred to as the liner board can be bleached to allow for high-quality color printing.

The normal liner boards are usually brown in color. This is the natural color of unbleached ground wood paper and is the color of most corrugated boxes. Liner boards are glued together with flutes in between them to form the boxes.

The flute layers are not usually of the same size. The outermost layer is usually the smallest. This is because it allows the outside of the box to have an even surface that is good for printing. The larger flute sizes are used on the inside of the boxes as the strengthen the box to allow stacking of the products. A double layered box has three layers of the liner board and two flute layers.
